Leader By Example

Job before joining AIA: IT Consultant
Joined AIA: July 2014
I jumped ship in 2014 as I wanted to leave my stressful IT job.
I was a referral to Rochelle by one of my friends. I received a call from her and met her for financial planning in 2009. I remember back then, when she initially invited me to join AIA and I declined. We met again in 2013 and that’s when i decided to take the exams and quit my job.
As an FSC, i enjoy the freedom of time while enjoying the earnings and travel incentives!
Rochelle as our leader has done it and it was easy to follow her footsteps. She speaks based on her actual experience. As an experienced FSC, whatever she says is believable and real. Her being positive helps a lot with every challenges in this job. She guided me until i became independent. "No problem, no choice—let's do it," these are her words that I always heed to succeed in this career and push me out of my comfort zone.
She communicates very well; approachable always. My most memorable time with her is our many phone conversations that takes 2 long hours talking about work, life and just anything…
I feel great about joining AIA! What happens next is always wonderful and unexpected. Being an FSC is not only about selling insurance. It is advising people on financial matters and preparing for the uncertainties.

Helpful, Dependable, Generous

Knew Rochelle since 1999 from my first job in the Philippines. She knows what she is doing, explains the policy very well and clearly. Accommodating to all questions. She presents plans or suggestions that meets my objective. She went beyond answering and responding my questions or concerns even brought me to hospitals for my check ups. Grateful to her!
Rochelle is very helpful when I have enquiries and claims. There is also regular policy review. I really found the products very important especially those that covers health or even pure investments.
I will always remember when she was with me in the hospital for my operation. After the operation, at the recovery room, I was already promoting my AIA hospitalization policy to friends. :) After that, Rochelle still continues to help me thru my check ups whenever she is available.

Job before joining AIA: Banker, Homemaker
Joined AIA: Aug 2016
I joined AIA as i needed a job with time flexibility and is family-oriented.
In 2010, Rochelle approached my husband during their roadshow. My family bought policies from her. And in 2015 during our policy review, she shared about being an FSC. Just nice, it fits my needs & situation at that time.
I really love the time flexibility, the positive culture among the team leader and members. Working with our team is like finding a new set of family to depend on and share with anything and everything. Rochelle is not only a conscientous and responsible leader, she is also my mentor and confidante.
She set goals which are attainable and see us through it. She encourages us to push forward and believes in our capabilities despite setbacks and challenges.
Rochelle is a hands on leader from day 1, continuously learning and sharing with us, immersing herself in our journey as an FSC and as a team member. She walks the talk. She taught us how to work effectively as a team and then as individuals in and out of our comfort zones, constantly checking and guiding us and she make sure our overall status is good.
She always set things on a positive note. If there are difficult times, she makes sure we see the positive aspect of it. She makes us feel welcome to see and chat with her in office or over the phone and also listens to our ideas and suggestions. I will always remember the time i told here that I already achieved what I thought was impossible, thanks to her guidance and motivation!
At first, I only thought of joining AIA as a trial since I stopped working for 10 years when I became a mom, I’m now 7 years in the business and intends to stay for more years. As a FSC, we don’t sell insurance, we educate and protect people, their families, their wealth and health.

Job before joining AIA: Associate Scientist
Joined AIA: July 2011
Rochelle & I are friends way back in university. I was her very first client when she joined AIA back in 2009. After 2 years, I saw significant changes in her and that’s when I became interested to be an FSC like her. I called her in 2011 and here we are in the same business for more than 10 years already!
This job enables me to help clients to make informed decision. It is challenging and fun - I need both to thrive.
Rochelle leads by example. This is hard to do but she does this consistently. You can see the efforts put in every project we do: from then the humbling and tiring street prospecting up to preparing fun-filled client appreciation & engagement events. She provides all of us ‘hands on training’; from filling out paper works to joint field work.
The job itself is outside of my comfort zone. Joint field work with Rochelle helped me a lot, this is the kind of training that is priceless, since it is showing and not just telling how activities are done. Being an FSC is always fun, enjoyable at times challenging too…

Amazing wonder woman

I met Rochelle through a common friend since 2013. She possesses a deep understanding of the products I need based on the risks that I need to manage.
Rochelle always responds on time and does her best to explain everything I need to know about the products or requests that I need assistance of.
No words can describe her helpfulness to all her clients, she will go above and beyond just to help you, not only with your policies, but if in case you need help on other things.
With my AIA plans, I feel secure for my family's future.
John Ventura (Client)
I'm really grateful

I knew Rochelle wayback in 2013 as she was introduced by a friend who took her services as well.
One thing that I'm amazed with Rochelle is her clarity to explain and she doesn't force you to buy the product; gives you more freedom to choose which suits your needs.
She is very responsive even when its already after her working hours. I remember calling her urgently at around 1 AM and she's still very accomodating and pleasant to talk with.
AIA products are at PAR or even much more compared to others but what I really am looking for is an FSC that is present whenever you need them; the most which Rochelle is.

I quit my previous job in search for opportunities in financial growth. Rochelle was referred by her client and friend. She has showcased the opportunity and led me to discover the career, step by step. She guided me as I progress.

Rochelle gives us the opportunity to grow our career by improving our skills and product knowledge. She aims to expand our market segment by challenging our capability and building confidence. Under her guidance, I am now developing my leadership skills by also mentoring our junior consultants.
She has developed effective training structure for our team. She would always ask if we have concern; it makes us feel valued. In our team activities, each of us are fairly given roles for everyone to participate. This is how we achieved great things.
It is not another job being in AIA as an FSC. Memorable experience with Rochelle, was when she wrote me a note that ‘MDRT is achievable’. And really it is! I have qualified for MDRT for the past 3 years already :)

I've known Rochelle since November 2022 through Alex. I discovered the career about AIA through “Break the Mold Be Bold” talk. As an FSC, it gives me the opportunity to talk to different kinds of people. I get to listen to their story and know them in a deeper sense. The team & my leader has been very supportive and encouraging. They have been very generous with their time and in giving valuable advice and guidance.

Job before joining AIA: Asst Store Manager
Joined AIA: November 2014
I shifted career in search for a job that will enable me to be a better person. I love it most when clients realises the value of the policies they got from AIA through me, especially, when they get the help they need the time they need it most.
Working with the team and my leader is one of the many good reasons my job becomes fun as you can share your triumphs and challenges with them. I admired Rochelle from day one I met her. I didn’t know that Pinoys can also do this job pala in Singapore and she proved that we can excel in this profession. I admired her laser-like focus when she wants to achieve something. That is something I am still learning up to this time.
I appreciate her more now that she knows and understands her agents by heart as time goes by. Starting in the career, she gave us the foundation on presenting the concepts to prospects/client. From what she taught us, we then evolved to make it our own way to be as natural as possible. I appreciate the sharing of information as they come about because this value adds to our clients when serving them.
Rochelle helped me realised that I can also do this job. I am grateful that I met her and have been in this profession and in her team for 9 years now. I have faced a fair share of challenges in this job and there are times that I would rather stay in my comfort zone and she respects that. Sometimes we just need to pause, smell the roses along the way and then back on our feet again and face the day.
I am blessed to be in this profession, in this team and company….

Job before joining AIA: Senior Client Advisor (luxury brand)
Joined AIA: April 2017
I was in retail sales industry since 2008 before joining AIA in 2017. I was looking for the next stage of my career and came across the opportunity to enter the insurance industry. Helping people plan properly with their insurances and future retirement felt a better and a more important challenge than selling luxury hand bags and clothes.
This job gives me the opportunity to develop the habit of self motivation and the chance to meet different people from different backgrounds. And most especially, the dream and life-saving effect of the product solutions that we get to offer to our clients.
I met Rochelle during a choir concert in 2016. We invited them as one of our event sponsors. Her own experience as an FSC before transcends to the way she leads her team. So when she guides us, we can really feel that it’s coming from a battle-tested philosophy. Humility and the sheer discipline towards work are the things that inspire me to this day.
The weekly meetings and quarterly focus groups and one on ones have been very helpful in sharpening and aligning my skills and knowledge in this industry.
She let me grow naturally my skills and ways of doing business. Calling me out on things I need to work on. And the culture of sharing flourishing within the group. Her business approach is very strategic and well thought of. It stems from a very rich experience she’s had all these years.
My most memorable moment with my leader will be the time she accompanied me to my very first client meeting as an FSC.
I feel blessed having joined AIA in 2017. It brought me valuable learnings that are both helpful to my clients and myself. Becoming an FSC is not a walk in the park. It is hard and one must really exercise a great deal of focus, discipline, humility and self motivation in order to thrive with the daily grind.

I’ve known Rochelle since 2005, we were work colleagues until she ventured into being an FSC with AIA. She is competent and good in what she does. She’s on top of everything which makes her outstanding in this industry. I appreciate that she follows up on my requests and makes sure that I get the best customer service even though I’m already living overseas. Always very responsive and really helpful.
I’m glad that I started investing early with AIA. It somehow lessens my worries and at the same time gave me the assurance that I can leave something for my family for the future.
It also helps that my FSC Rochelle is someone trustworthy and reliable. My most memorable experience with her were our small talks over coffee. We not only talk about AIA products but also about life in general.

I’ve known Rochelle, since 2011. She was introduced to me by a colleague. Rochelle very much knows the in & outs of her product. She was very helpful in determining the best and most economical insurance that suits my requirements and needs. Rochelle is very easy to deal with. Even though we’re living here in Australia she regularly and swiftly does answer any of my queries. She would regularly respond to any text messages. Rochelle is very easy to deal with. She would explain everything in details first in order for you to have a clearer understanding of whatever thing that you want to pursue.
It was really tailor made to what suits me the best during that time. If I was given the opportunity to invest again in AIA Singapore I would definitely look for Rochelle to be my FSC.
